Successful indie game devs already have the data and analytics that you require. Why do you want to waste your time and money on making mistakes and learning from them? You see, most indie devs release their first game, or games, to learn from mistakes. A wise man is one who learns from other people's mistakes.
If you don't have the money to hire someone to help you, join someone and learn what they are doing. My highest retaining game is also one of my worst games that I have ever developed. It is a bad game that did well! Why you ask? Because it was a game that used the same strategy that another successful indie dev studio was using. Since then, I have learned that you need to design your game according to the formula used by successful indie devs and big AAA publishers. No wonder they keep earning millions of dollars every year!
